At North Jax, we ask parents to attend a Baby Dedication Class before their child is dedicated. This class helps explain the heart behind baby dedication and why it matters. We want parents to understand that baby dedication is not about salvation for the child—salvation comes later through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Instead, this is a meaningful moment for parents to publicly commit to raising their child in a Christ-centered home, teaching them God’s Word, and modeling a life of faith. The class provides clarity on what the church believes, answers questions parents may have, and ensures that this special day is both meaningful and rooted in God’s design for the family.
